Questions

Frequently asked questions

How do I treat pots?

Mix the pack with water and water each pot until the compost is moist all the way through. A 10 million pack treats around 20 m² of beds, or a good number of containers.

Should I treat in spring as well as autumn?

Yes. Autumn catches the new grubs before they feed through winter, and spring catches any that survived.

What about the adult weevils?

Nematodes treat the grubs in the compost. Add a nematop weevil stop trap from May to September to catch the adults before they lay eggs.

When will my order arrive?

Order by 10:00 on Wednesday and it is produced fresh and delivered by tracked courier the following Wednesday or Thursday. Days can change around bank holidays in Ireland and Germany. See ordering and delivery.

How should I store it?

Put the pack in the fridge (2–8°C) as soon as it arrives and use it before the date on the pack. Do not freeze it.

Is it safe for children, pets and the environment?

Yes. The nematodes target insect pests in the soil and are safe to use around children, pets and wildlife.

Does it leave any residue?

Nematodes are living organisms, not chemicals, so there are no chemical residues on your lawn, plants, fruit or vegetables.
